Cataracts and Sunlight

Do you have your sunglasses on? You should.


More evidence is accumulating that sunlight exposure increases risk for cataracts.  The UV light coming from the sun is present all year long but is most intense during the longer days of summer.  Still a good idea to wear your sunglasses all year round when the sun is out.  They also decrease the chance of getting skin cancer on your eyelids.  For more information on the latest evidence linking cataracts and UV light click here
